Eagle Learning believes building better communities starts with creating better educational opportunities for individuals in the community. Our mission is simple - help individuals and communities reach greater heights by removing the educational barriers that limit opportunity.
We partner with communities, organizations and individuals to offer free access to unique, online-based learning experiences that allow individuals of any skill level to further their education and acquire new skills that can open the door to a world of opportunities.
Eagle Learning is a program of the Global Learning Group Initiative (GLGI), together with its charity, The Glooscap Heritage Society (GHS) at the Millbrook First Nations in Nova Scotia.
These free courses have been made possible through generous donations to the GHS. The GHS operates the Glooscap Heritage Centre & Mi'kmaq Museum (GHC), a state-of-the-art facility comprised of the 40' tall statue of Glooscap, complete with interpretive panels; a number of climate and light controlled display cases housing ancient Mi'kmaq artifacts; a major multi media display and theatre presentation in the 75 seat theatre that is the highlight of the visitor's experience at the GHC. Visit the GHC located in Millbrook First Nation - one of the 13 First Nation communities in Nova Scotia.
GHC has a retail gift shop that includes many authentic Mi'kmaq items including artwork, books, Mi'kmaq handcrafts, as well as many other items that are made in Nova Scotia.
Adjacent to the GHC is the Glooscap Annex, which includes a digital learning centre. For more information, click on www.glooscapheritagecentre.com
